refried beans – 1/2 cup*
chorizo(sausage) – 2-3 oz
*Count as 1 ounce of meat

nopales (cactus leaves) – 1/2 cup
jicama (root vegetables)  – 1/2 cup
chayote (Mexican squash) – 1/2 cup

FRUIT GROUP

posole(soup made with corn kernels) – 1/2 cup
crackers – 2-4
sopa(thick rice soup) – 1/2 cup
